Corporate Responsibility in a Born Global Company |
| Social Responsibility - We operate in the Developing World and bring forth their great untold stories. We are deeply committed to share a portion of our profits with the workers who make these stories come to life for you. Each of our major projects has profit sharing with the employees and the community from which the stories spring. For example, a portion of the profits of the movie Manikantan will be given to the employees at all levels for five years; and another portion endows a new village for disabled artists in Southwest India’s Kerala, where much of the movie’s animation has been created. |

Financial Responsibility through International Accounting Standards – We operate primarily in Asia, where family commitments and personal connections combine with a cash economy to create an often opaque business environment. We operate our finances to the global standard. For example, we recently recorded music for the movie Manikantan with 100 musicians for five days. Most of them had no bank account and could not cash a check, so we brought in another finance person and had two staffers distribute cash while the musicians signed their daily pay chit. |
| “Golden Rule” responsibility – Treat others as you want to be treated. We have written HR standards that demand each employee be treated as a full and equal member of the IndiaTales community. Discrimination based on race, sex, creed, caste or national origin are expressly forbidden and aggressively addressed. This is for the ethical reasons that are well known, but also for highly practical reasons. Our audience is made up of people from every race, sex, creed and national origin and we need to reflect their tastes and passion in our work. We also believe that excellence is not the province of any one group and, seeking to always hire the best, we look for them everywhere. If you share a passion for excellence and are not afraid to pit your skills against the world’s best, click here to express your interest. |
